Right side: DRIFT, ITEM, BRAKE. Gas is automatic unless you turn Auto gas off. Use Practice to tune steering sensitivity, assist and button size; pause any time with ❚❚. |

Prism crystals give an item: ⚡ Nitro Cell (big boost), ◈ Aegis Bubble (shield — blocks one hazard and bumps rivals aside), ◍ Glaze Slick (drop a sticky puddle behind you that spins out whoever hits it), ◎ Range Finder (shows the exact distance left in the race and counts it down to the finish; you get one by your third crystal at the latest).
Chevron pads on the road give a free boost. Hold accelerate just before GO! for a rocket start. Staying off the shoulders keeps your speed up; jumps need speed to clear the gaps.
